Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced that its next flagship, the OnePlus 15 5G, will launch in China on October 27 at 7 PM local time, followed by an expected India and global rollout in January 2026.

The company confirmed the launch date on Weibo, its official social media platform in China. Alongside the OnePlus 15, the brand will also unveil the OnePlus Ace 6, a performance-oriented model that has been teased in recent weeks. A new “Sand Storm” colour variant is expected to debut with the model. The back panel may use fiberglass, giving a lightweight yet solid feel.

The design is likely to include a redesigned camera bump and the return of the customisable “Plus Key”, a programmable shortcut button seen on earlier OnePlus models.

Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s 8 Gen 5 processor, the latest in the series, promising top-tier performance and improved power efficiency. Reports also suggest the inclusion of an advanced cooling system for gaming and heavy workloads.

On the imaging front, the OnePlus 15 may feature a triple 50-megapixel setup with wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto sensors.

The company is reportedly moving away from its Hasselblad collaboration, opting for its in-house imaging technology called DetailMax.

OnePlus 15 5G pricing and availability

The OnePlus 15 is expected to be priced between ₹70,000 and ₹75,000 in India, placing it firmly in the premium smartphone category alongside Apple, Samsung, and flagships.

The model’s China-first release follows OnePlus’ traditional launch strategy, which sees new flagships debut domestically before a global rollout.

The upcoming launch marks OnePlus’ push to reinforce its position in the high-end market amid increasing competition from brands such as iQOO, Xiaomi, and Vivo, all of which have recently introduced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered phones.
