Atomicwork raises $25 million in Series A funding led by Khosla Ventures and Z47, to expand its AI platform and operations.

Atomicwork, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, has raised $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Khosla Ventures and Z47. Battery Ventures, Blume Ventures, and Peak XV Partners also participated in the round. The funding will be used to expand the company’s AI-based platform and grow its go-to-market efforts.

Founded in September 2022 by Vijay Rayapati, Kiran Darisi, and Parsuram Vijayasankar, Atomicwork provides software that automates workflows across multiple business functions, including information technology (IT), human resources (HR), and finance. The platform is designed to streamline operations and reduce the routine workloads of IT teams by using agentic AI and enterprise knowledge graphs.

“We are pioneering agentic service management to transform companies manage their IT workflows and enterprise services,” said Vijay Rayapati, co-founder and CEO of Atomicwork.

“This investment is a significant milestone, validating our vision of a future where smarter IT teams drive business growth and companies are empowered by technology, not bogged down by it,” Rayapati added.

The company’s technology is already being used by businesses such as Zuora and Pepper Money to improve service delivery and workplace efficiency. The funding will also help Atomicwork enhance its platform’s scalability and support for enterprise integrations.

“Atomicwork’s AI agents can autonomously handle everyday IT services, and employees can then focus on actually growing the business,” said Kanu Gulati of Khosla Ventures.

Rayapati’s previous venture, Minjar, was acquired by in 2018, where he served as and general manager. Darisi and Vijayasankar were part of the founding team at Freshworks, another SaaS success story.

The company positions itself as addressing the limitations of traditional IT service management tools, which it says are struggling to keep up with the growing complexity of global systems. The funds will also be used to deploy enterprise AI agents and scale operations to meet enterprise demands.
