PDRL hosts first AeroGCS global drone competition in Nashik

Drone technology firm PDRL concluded the first in Nashik, Maharashtra, showcasing talent and innovation in drone operations. The , which has drawn significant attention, aimed to highlight the capabilities of drone enthusiasts and promote advancements in , said a statement.

The competition focused on AeroGCS, PDRL’s Ground Control Software, known for its comprehensive features that enhance drone mission efficiency, said the company.

With a significant portion of Indian drone manufacturers and drones adopting AeroGCS, there’s a growing demand for skilled professionals in this field. PDRL said its goal to certify 10,000 professionals on its AeroMegh platform underscores this need.

The opening ceremony featured Dr. Amol Potgantwar and Dr. Vishal Sulakhe of Sandip University, along with PDRL’s CEO Anil Chandaliya and CTO Vishal Dharankar.

Winners of the competition received cash prizes, AeroGCS titles, and PDRL Certified Drone Professional (PCDP) Certifications, reflecting their expertise in utilising AeroGCS for drone missions. Additionally, they gained access to job opportunities offered by PDRL and its partners, said the company.

Dr. Sandip Jha, Chairman, Sandip University, expressed his support for the competition and announced plans to establish a dedicated drone lab at the university to equip students with practical knowledge of drone technology.

Anil Chandaliya celebrated the competition’s success, noting AeroGCS’s user-friendly design and its global scalability. He announced the anticipation for AeroGCS Global Competition 2.0, promising another round of exciting challenges for participants.

PDRL thanked its partners, sponsors, and participants for their support, emphasising the competition’s role in advancing drone technology and fostering innovation within the community.
