With the aim to improve the women safety in the state, UP government has started a digital outreach programme, in which the UP Women Power Line 1090 on Friday launched ‘Humari Surakhsa’ initiative where 1090 reaches out to people digitally, creates awareness, and captures data signals to device integrated solutions.
Senior IPS officer and UP Police ADG Neera Rawat while sharing the roadmap for Digital Chakravyuh (360-degree ecosystem for women safety) programme in UP emphasised the need of having integration between online and offline actions of the organization. “1090 has enough tech power and has chosen to adopt technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning for the betterment of the services,” Rawat said.
According to Rawat, the new digital programme will ensure ease of use for rural women, psychometric profiling and targeting of offenders, predictive analytics, community participation, and audience engagement to generate awareness for exponential outreach.
