Nokia’s VSP solution will be deployed by in 15 circles in the northern and southern part of the country to automate its networks. Once deployed, the Nuage Networks VSP solution will allow Airtel to provide new services, including Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), said a statement.

said that India has been recording unprecedented growth in data and this requires that service providers, like Airtel, increase the number of data centers. This is also driven by the need to prepare the networks for new technologies like 5G and Internet of Things (IoT).
