Facing a difficult financial outlook, telecom major Vodafone-Idea (Vi) announced the launch of its own ad-tech platform, Vi Ads. The new platform is reported to be powered by and Machine Learning.

According to the company, the new adtech platform looks to offer marketers a programmatic media buying platform. Vodafone said that Vi Ads will enable marketers to engage with the operator's over 243 million subscribers through multiple channels like Vi-owned digital media- Vi App, Vi Movies & TV App, and traditional channels like SMS, IVR calls.

As per Vi, One of the key differentiators of Vi Ads is that it will be media agnostic. Additionally, Vi Ads will offer a self-serve interface that is said to offer marketers full control of their campaigns, from tracking performance to driving insights.

The Vi Ads Platform has been built in partnership with TorcAi that helps media value chain stakeholders to build and nurture audience assets by bringing together data and activation channels at the organizational level.
