HFCL Limited said that it has received a purchase order of Rs 141 crore from state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) as part of a larger advance purchase agreement totalling Rs 179 crore, with the remaining portion expected to be awarded upon completion of the initial supply.
The company said that the scope of the project awarded to it includes a variety of services essential for the deployment of BSNL’s 4G and upcoming 5G networks including planning, site surveys, installation, testing, commissioning of microwave links, and the provision of HFCL’s proprietary 5GHz Unlicensed Band Packet radio systems.
HFCL said that its Unlicensed Band Radios (UBR), which employ MIMO and OFDM technologies, are designed to offer substantial bandwidth capacity and key for integrating advanced 5G features such as high-speed connectivity, low latency, and enhanced reliability into wireless communications.
