Optex Systems bags $1.35 million contract from General Dynamics Land Systems

Optex Systems, a manufacturer of precision optical sighting systems for domestic and worldwide and commercial applications, has been awarded a $1.35 million contract by defense firm General Dynamics Land Systems-, to provide LAV 6.0 optimized weapon system support for Optex’s Commander Sighting System. This in-service support will continue over the next three years for their existing fleet of Light Armored Vehicles.

General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada is a defense industry leader in land and amphibious systems development and integration. Based in London, Ontario, the Canadian operations employs approximately 2,000 people in the design, manufacture and support of light- and medium-armored vehicles, and are specialists in machining, materials, electronics, , prototyping, logistics support and systems integration.

“We are pleased to receive our first maintenance system support contract from General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada,” said Danny Schoening, Optex’s CEO. He continued, “These critical weapon systems must be maintained at a high level and we will continue to work with our customers to meet and exceed their expectations and the expectations of their customers.”
