Zebronics has launched the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G, a smart projector priced at ₹17,999, now available on Flipkart and Amazon India. The device runs on Google TV and offers projection up to 200 inches, positioning it as an alternative to large-screen televisions for home entertainment.
The projector is aimed at consumers seeking a cinema-like viewing experience without investing in a dedicated home theatre setup. At its launch price, the ZEB-PixaPlay 77G costs less than most 55-inch smart televisions currently available in the Indian market.
Zebronics, an Indian IT peripherals and consumer electronics company, said the projector is designed for use in living rooms, bedrooms and portable setups.
Display and brightness specifications
The ZEB-PixaPlay 77G features 7,500 lumens of brightness. Lumens measure the total amount of visible light a projector emits; higher numbers mean the image remains visible even when ambient light is present in the room. This specification allows the projector to function in partially lit environments, unlike older projectors that required complete darkness.
The device has a native Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and supports 4K input. This means while the projector’s display panel produces Full HD images, it can accept and downscale content from 4K sources such as streaming devices or gaming consoles.
Screen size ranges from smaller projections for confined spaces up to 200 inches diagonally when sufficient throw distance is available.
The projector includes auto focus and auto keystone correction. Keystone correction is a feature that digitally adjusts the projected image when the projector is not positioned perfectly perpendicular to the screen or wall. Without this correction, images appear as trapezoids rather than rectangles. The automatic function eliminates the need for manual adjustment during setup.
These features reduce the technical knowledge required to operate the device, according to Zebronics.
Running on Google TV, the projector provides built-in access to streaming platforms including Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and JioHotstar. Users do not require external streaming devices such as Fire TV Stick or Chromecast to access these services.
Google TV also enables voice search and content recommendations across platforms through a unified interface.
Connectivity options
The ZEB-PixaPlay 77G supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connections. Wired connectivity includes HDMI with ARC, USB ports, an auxiliary input and a 3.5mm audio jack.
HDMI ARC, or Audio Return Channel, allows the projector to send audio to a connected soundbar or home theatre system through a single HDMI cable, eliminating the need for separate audio connections.
The device includes built-in speakers but can connect to external audio equipment via HDMI ARC, Bluetooth speakers or wired headphones.
