TCL to launch AI-powered home appliances in India

With the aim to improve its growth in , consumer electronics firm TCL said it is gearing up to launch its latest range of smart home appliances like AC, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Sound Bar. The company claimed that its newly launched products will be UHD TV and (AI) powered.

The launch which is slated for April 25, comes weeks after the company made the announcement of sponsoring Capitals in ongoing IPL. Earlier, in December 2018, TCL had inaugurated its panel factory in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh to manufacture electronic items including televisions in India.

“We are going to launch a range of innovative and affordable home appliances for our Indian consumers. We are affirmative that our latest range of products will resonate with the mature sensibilities of Indian users, providing them with smart home appliances that easily integrate the latest advancements in the field of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, amongst others,” said TCL India Country Manager Mike Chen.

As part of the latest plans, TCL said it would be packing new technology such as AI and IoT in the home appliances segment.
