Samsung has opened pre-orders for its Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 earbuds in India, priced at ₹22,999 and ₹16,999 respectively, with general sales beginning 11 March.
The new wireless earbuds launch alongside the Galaxy S26 smartphone series. Pre-orders started on 28 February across select markets, giving early buyers a head start before the official release.
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro, Samsung’s premium offering, introduces a wider woofer for the first time in the series. The company claims this increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20 per cent compared to the previous generation, promising deeper bass and richer treble.
Design and fit
Samsung has redesigned the earbuds with what it calls a “Buds blade design”, developed using data from millions of ear scans and over 10,000 simulations. The aim is better stability during movement and comfort for extended listening sessions.
The two models cater to different preferences. Galaxy Buds4 Pro uses a canal-fit design that sits inside the ear canal for maximum sound isolation. Galaxy Buds4 opts for an open-fit design, resting lightly without sealing the ear, which some users find more comfortable for all-day wear.
Both models feature a metal finish with an engraved pinch control area, making it easier to locate the touch-sensitive surface without looking. They come with a transparent clamshell-style charging case.
Sound and noise cancellation
The Buds4 Pro delivers a frequency response of 20Hz to 40,000Hz, covering everything from deep bass notes to high-pitched treble. The earbuds support 24-bit/96kHz audio, which audiophiles consider high-resolution quality.
Enhanced Active Noise Cancellation on both models adapts to changing environments. Samsung specifically mentions improved performance during commutes, with the system targeting low-frequency engine noise on buses, trains and aeroplanes while keeping music and podcasts clear.
The Adaptive ANC feature analyses each user’s ear shape and adjusts noise-cancelling algorithms in real time. An outer microphone positioned on the upper metal surface helps reduce wind interference during outdoor use.
Calls and AI features
For voice calls, Samsung has introduced Super Clear Call technology, which doubles the bandwidth of standard Bluetooth calls. This should help voices remain audible in noisy places such as restaurants or playgrounds.
The earbuds integrate with AI assistants including Bixby, Google Gemini and Perplexity. Users can activate these through voice commands without reaching for their phones. The Buds4 Pro adds head gesture controls, allowing users to answer or reject calls with a nod or shake.
Colour options include Black and White with a matte finish for both models. The Buds4 Pro also comes in Pink Gold, available exclusively through online channels.
The pricing positions Galaxy Buds4 against competitors such as Apple’s AirPods and Sony’s WF series in the premium wireless earbuds segment, where noise cancellation quality and sound performance drive purchasing decisions.
