Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Book5 laptop in India, a new addition to its computing portfolio that integrates artificial intelligence tools aimed at productivity and content creation.
The Galaxy Book5 features a 15.6-inch full-HD display with anti-glare technology and is powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors, depending on the configuration. Samsung said the device offers up to 19 hours of video playback on its 61.2Wh battery.
According to the company, the model delivers a 38 per cent improvement in graphics performance compared with its predecessor, the Galaxy Book4. The laptop incorporates a 12 TOPS (trillion operations per second) neural processing unit to support on-device AI features.
Weighing less and slimmer than the earlier version, the Galaxy Book5 comes equipped with multiple ports for connectivity and is available in four configurations.
The device includes a suite of AI-driven features. Photo Remaster enhances images through the NPU, while AI Select allows users to search across applications and documents. Other tools include Copilot with a hot key for instant assistance, Circle to Search for quick look-ups, and Transcript Assist for generating meeting notes and transcripts.
Samsung said the model also supports Galaxy ecosystem features such as Multi-control, Second Screen and Quick Share, aimed at linking the laptop with other Galaxy devices.
The Galaxy Book5 is available in India from August 29 in grey colour. Prices start at ₹77,990, varying by configuration. The laptops can be purchased through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, authorised retail outlets and online platforms.
Buyers can access bank cashback offers of up to ₹10,000 and a no-cost EMI option for up to 24 months.
