After a prolonged wait, Google to soon launch Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in India

As per the latest campaign on Indian e-commerce portal, Flipkart, the new Pixel 7 series phones will soon be up for grab in India.

After a prolonged wait of over four years, global technology major Google is set to launch the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in . The last top Pixel smartphone launched by the company was in 2018. After this the company only brought the Pixel’s ‘a’ series to India.

As per the latest campaign on Indian e-commerce portal, Flipkart, the new Pixel 7 series phones will soon be up for grab in India. The banner on Flipkart’s app reads, “Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are on deck.” The teaser reiterates that Google’s next-generation in-house chipset, the Tensor G2 will power the two phones.

Google has also confirmed the launch of Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in India through its India Twitter handle. It is however, not known when the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be launching in India, except that the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be “coming soon” to India and will be available through Flipkart, similar to previous Google Pixel smartphones.

Google unveils the Pixel 7 series on October 6, and the two smartphones – Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro – are expected to go on pre-orders on the same day in the US. As for sales, it could begin two weeks after the launch on October 18.

The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro have made quite a few public appearances. Google showed the rear of the two smartphones at the I/O 2022, revealing that the Pixel 7 will have two cameras while the Pixel 7 Pro will come with three cameras on the back, housed in a visor, which will now have an aluminium finish.

Meanwhile, the front is expected to remain pretty much the same, with the Pixel 7 having a 90Hz panel and 7 Pro featuring a 120Hz LTPO display of the same size as their predecessors.

The Pixel 7 will come in three colours, Obsidian, Snow and Lemongrass. Meanwhile, the 7 Pro will be available in Obsidian, Snow and Hazel colourways.
