Suse moves from Micro Focus, becomes an independent company

The enterprise company said that growth investor has completed Suse acquisition from . Earlier in July 2018, the German firm has announced it will be acquired by EQT, a development-focused investor with extensive experience in the software industry.

With the completion of the acquisition, Suse said that it has become an independent company and announced the expansion of its team. Now, Enrica Angelone will lead finance as chief financial officer, and Sander Huyts will become the chief operations officer. Thomas Di Giacomo, formerly chief technology officer for Suse, is now president of Engineering, Product and Innovation. All three will report to Suse CEO Nils Brauckmann.

SUSE is currently involved in more than 100 open source projects, supported by employees around the world. The company continues to grow as an independent vendor of open source software as it helps organizations of all kinds, said the company.
