IBM launches Client Innovation Center in Mysuru, looks to hire over 10,000 staff globally

IBM has opened its eighth IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC) in Mysuru to provide complete hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technology consulting skills.

IBM has opened its eighth Client Innovation Center (CIC) in to assist the region’s rapid, high-tech-driven economic growth and to provide complete hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technology consulting skills.

The CIC specialises in design, software engineering, and analytics as an entrepreneurial start-up within IBM Consulting.

The CIC assist IBM’s clients in transforming their businesses by leveraging delivery capabilities across the entire system development life cycle, from design to architecture to creation, said the company.

“Digital transformation is happening at an accelerated pace across Mysuru,” said Amit Sharma, Managing Partner, Worldwide Global Delivery. “The IBM CIC will play a key role in the digital transformation of the IT-ecosystem throughout the city and create new employment opportunities to foster the next wave of technology innovation.”

IBM said that its CIC division is looking to hire over 10,000 staff globally this quarter. This follows a year of double-digit job growth in its Global Delivery Centers.

“This is a significant achievement of Digital Mission (KDEM) and its ‘Spoke-shore Strategy’ to attract companies to set up operations in Mysuru and other places under our Beyond Bengaluru initiative. We congratulate IBM and warmly welcome the IBM CIC in Mysuru,” said Karnataka IT minister Ashwath Narayana.

“With IBM’s contribution as a major employer, the state of Karnataka is destined to retain and grow as a global front-runner for digital services and developing new technologies,” he added.

IBM Consulting presently operates eight CIC locations throughout India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, the National Capital Region, and Pune.
