HCL looks to expand UK operations, pump up UK team size to support 50 international clients

Among the new professionals hired by the company include from the fields of digital transformation, cloud, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for its London, Greater London and Manchester offices

In expansion mode, Indian technology giant, HCL Technologies has opened its purse strings to pump in further in the United Kingdom and is reported to have hired about 1,000 technology professionals to support its clients in the UK and around the world.

Among the new professionals hired include from the fields of , cloud, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for its London, Greater London and Manchester offices. During a virtual meeting early this week the company while conveying its commitment to the UK market also welcomed the UK’s Covid-19 aid to .

The Indian technology company has its presence in the UK market since 1997 and at present employs over 3,500 professionals across various locations in the UK to support its 50-plus clients. The company was recently recognised as a top employer in the UK for the 15th consecutive year by Top Employers Institute.

The virtual meeting between Johnson with HCL’s CEO C Vijayakumar and Senior Ashish Kumar Gupta was held as part of Johnson’s virtual tour to create stronger business ties between the UK and India. “The UK has played a key role in HCL’s growth and success journey for more than two decades,” Vijayakumar later said.
