Former Cisco boss John Chambers joins Averon Advisory Board

Former executive chairman and CEO of Cisco John Chambers has joined Averon Advisory Board. After demitting office at Cisco, Chambers has ventured in startups and investment. In January 2018, he established JC2 Ventures to help young startup attain critical mass. Chambers who helped grow the Cisco’s revenues from $70 million to $47 billion during his over 20 years at the networking giant is betting high on venture firms and startups.

The new board that he has joined develops mobile identity verification . Averon develops Direct Autonomous Authentication (DAA) mobile identity verification standard, which enables smartphone users to interact with services and devices like smart locks, without downloading a dedicated application or other software.

The company leverages real-time mobile network signaling and the SIM/eSIM chips, requiring no installation, no apps, and no user involvement. It offers authentication solutions for banking, smart vehicles, e-commerce, smart locks, accounts, and government. The company was founded in 2015 and is based in , California.
