Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, in partnership with online learning platform Coursera, announced the introduction of an online Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Eligibility criteria include completion of Class XII or its equivalent with mathematics. Candidates who have registered for JEE Advanced (in any year) can gain direct admission, whereas others can enroll based on the performance in an online course.
The program offers multiple exit points: learners can convert their credits into a certificate, diploma, degree, or an honor‘s degree. The learning method is primarily asynchronous, allowing students to learn at their own pace, with optional campus visits for student-faculty interaction.

Placement support is provided by IIT Guwahati and Coursera’s skill-based recruitment platform, Coursera Hiring Solutions.
The application window for the BSc (Hons) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program opens on July 19, 2023, and the course is scheduled to start in October 2023. Interested students can apply on IIT Guwahati’s website or Coursera’s degree page.
