Wings India 2026, billed as Asia‘s largest civil aviation event, will be held from January 28 to 31 at Begumpet Airport in the southern city of Hyderabad, the government said on Friday.
The four-day event will be formally launched with an inaugural ceremony led by Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu and attended by senior officials and industry representatives from India and abroad.
Wings India 2026 will be held under the theme “Indian Aviation: Paving the Future – From Design to Deployment, Manufacturing to Maintenance, Inclusivity to Innovation and Safety to Sustainability”, reflecting the government’s focus on expanding India’s role in global aviation manufacturing, services and innovation.
The event is expected to draw participation from airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturers, maintenance and repair organisations, airport developers, technology providers, training institutions and service companies from across the aviation value chain.
According to the government, the programme will include an international exhibition, static aircraft displays, flying and aerobatic shows, a high-level international conference, CEO roundtables, business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, an aviation job fair and an awards ceremony.
The conference agenda will feature 13 thematic sessions alongside a Global CEOs Forum and a ministerial plenary, covering areas such as airports, aircraft leasing, helicopters, airlines, women in aviation, maintenance and repair operations, air cargo, business aviation, aircraft component manufacturing, sustainable aviation fuel, pilot training and skilling, advanced air mobility and drones.
Foreign ministerial-level delegations and senior government officials from several countries are expected to attend, along with official delegations from more than 20 countries. Indian states will also participate to showcase aviation-linked infrastructure development and investment opportunities.
Air shows and aircraft displays will form a key part of the programme, including aerial performances by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force.
The event will also host an aviation innovation challenge for students and young professionals, aimed at promoting industry-oriented problem solving, as well as cultural programmes highlighting India’s heritage.
The government said Wings India 2026 is intended to serve as a platform for international cooperation, industry dialogue and business engagement, as India seeks to expand its civil aviation footprint domestically and globally.
