Telangana govt signs MoU with SAP to push digital skilling

With the aim to focus on digital skilling, the government has signed an MoU with India to digitise and empower MSMEs in the state by equipping them with digital skilling and cutting edge technologies.

Under this collaboration, state government and SAP India will work towards promoting entrepreneurship for the sector by providing them access to the global marketplace, digital skilling for the workforce and access to affordable enterprise technology.

“We are very happy to collaborate with a global technology player like SAP to bring their marketplace, skilling and ERP solutions to Telangana for the benefit of our local MSMEs. Industry-government partnership is the way forward,” said Principal Secretary, IT and Industries department Jayesh Ranjan.

The partnership will help MSMEs with open access to — a free B2B e-commerce solution — where any buyer can post sourcing needs and any of the four million suppliers on the Ariba Network can respond with their ability to fulfill the task.

STMicro quarterly profit declines by 18.4% owing to slow demand

European chipmaker STMicroelectronics reported net revenues of $3.47 billion, marking an 18.4% decline compared to the same period last year. This downturn was particularly noticeable in the automotive and industrial sectors, although gains in personal electronics provided some balance.
