Now pensioners can submit their Digital Pramaan Patra at any time during the year: EPFO

With the aim to provide hassle-free delivery of -related services in times of Covid-19 pandemic, Employees Provident Fund Organization said that it has changed a key rule to enable submission of Pramaan Patra at any time during the year.

As per existing rule, the EPS pensioners were only allowed to submit their life certificates in November and December.

The EPFO said that the new rules have been brought with the view to ensure safety, security and of pensioners. Once submitted on any day in a year, the life certificate will remain valid for one year from the date of submission.

To make the entire process smooth and easy, the EPFO has also partnered with Common Service Centre (CSC) to provide facilities to submit Digital Jeevan Pramaan Patra. CSC has over 2.5 lakh service centre across the country that provides government to citizen services.

Further, the EPFO has also roped in post offices for the collection of Digital Jeevan Pramaan Patra.

EPFO said that EPS Pensioners need not visit PF Offices, instead, they can submit Aadhar based Biometric Digital Life Certificate for Jeevan Pramaan Patra at respective bank branches, nearest Post Offices or at the Common Service Centers.

Pensioners only need to carry their mobile, Bank passbook, Pension Payment Order number and Aadhar number.

For bedridden pensioners or those suffering for infirmity, state such as is making arrangement to collect Life Certificate from their home for availing such facility once they receive a request from the family member.
