Amid German reservations, Iran nuclear talks with top world power to resume this week

This comes just days ahead of resuming indirect talks, between US and Iran  on saving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, in Vienna

Amid global standoff over renewed talks with over its nuclear programme, has clarified that the proposals made by Iran on its nuclear programme were not acceptable. According to a German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Berlin was still willing to follow a diplomatic path on the issue but time is running out.

“We reviewed the proposals … carefully and thoroughly, and concluded that Iran violated almost all compromises found previously in months of hard negotiations,” the official said.

This comes just days of resuming indirect talks, between US-Iranian on saving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, in Vienna. “We will continue the talks on Thursday … and await practical steps by the West,” Iran’s top negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani was quoted as telling Iranian media during a visit to Moscow by the semi-official news agency ISNA.

Earlier on Friday, the talks broke off as European officials voiced dismay at sweeping demands by Iran’s new, hardline government.  The seventh round of talks in Vienna is the first with delegates sent by Iran’s anti-Western President Ebrahim Raisi on to resuscitate the agreement under which Iran limited its nuclear programme in return for relief from economic sanctions.
