Siemens appoints SAP India Labs chief Sindhu Gangadharan as Independent Director

Sindhu Gangadharan, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of SAP Labs India and Head of SAP User Enablement, has been appointed as an Independent Director to the Siemens India Board. She brings decades of experience in technology and business leadership to this position, which will help Siemens accelerate its growth in the region, said a statement.

Sindhu also serves on the Boards of various companies, including Qualtrics in the United States, Titan Company Limited, and EverLoop by SAP. In 2021, she was also elected for a second consecutive term to the NASSCOM Executive Council.

She is also a member of the steering committee of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, a business organisation that drives bilateral commerce and discussions between India and Germany.

She began her career as a young software developer at SAP Labs India, where she ascended through the ranks and traversed many strategic and leadership responsibilities to become the first woman to oversee the organisation. Currently, she is responsible for product development and innovation at SAP’s Research & Development facilities in India, where she serves as managing director and senior vice president.

In her additional role as Head of SAP User Enablement, she oversees a global team that provides consistent, intelligent, and individualised enablement for SAP’s full product line.
