Honeywell announced the appointment of Anant Maheshwari as the President and CEO of the company's High Growth Region portfolio from September 4, 2023.

announced the appointment of Anant Maheshwari as the President and CEO of the company's High Growth Region portfolio from September 4, 2023. Maheshwari, replacing Ben Driggs who is transitioning to another leadership position in Honeywell, will be based in Dubai, UAE, reporting directly to Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur.

Maheshwari who was at the helm of India as its President and CEO is expected to extend Honeywell's existing growth record by steering business expansion in geographies such as China, India, Southeast Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

With his prior experience at Honeywell from 2004 to 2016 and as the former President of Honeywell India, he is perceived as an optimal choice to lead and broaden Honeywell's presence across various industries.

“Honeywell has a long-term track record of growth in this portfolio. Anant will help build on our demonstrated success, accelerating our ability to drive profitable development for the company,” said Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur. “Anant's experience over the last two decades proves that he has an ability to deliver impactful results for a diverse set of industries. He is the right person to continue to deliver our local-to-local presence and expand Honeywell's business in controls and automation, software and digitalization, and sustainability.”

Before this role, Maheshwari was at the helm of Microsoft India as its President and CEO. His leadership resulted in a significant business transformation, making India the fastest-growing region for Microsoft.

Maheshwari earned MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and degrees in Economics and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

Driggs, the outgoing executive, has been a part of Honeywell since 2004 and has assumed various leadership roles in Honeywell's Aerospace business, as well as Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Corporate Development.

“He helped build and maintain our record growth in these regions, delivering profitable results for Honeywell,” Kapur said. “We are excited for him to take his next step in leadership at Honeywell.”

STMicro quarterly profit declines by 18.4% owing to slow demand
