SSC MTS 2017 Re-Exam on September 16: Check important dates, exam pattern, admit card updates

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the re-examination of Multi Tasking (Non Technical) Staff Examination 2017 (Paper-I) from September 16 to October 26. Here are the key things to know about SSC MTS 2017.

The () will conduct the re-examination of Multi Tasking (Non Technical) Staff Examination 2017 (Paper-I) from September 16 to October 26. The SSC MTS 2017 exam will be a computer based test. It is being organised in online mode because in May 2017, SSC had to cancel the examination due to cases of paper leaks.

To ensure that candidates are familiar with new system and no untoward incident happens on the day of the exam, SSC has put a practice test for computer based examination on its website. Candidates who are appearing for Exam have been advised to familiarise themselves with the system before September 16, the first day of MTS exam.

SSC MTS 2017 Exam Paper, SSC MTS 2017 Pattern

During computer based examination, candidates will be tested on general intelligence & reasoning, numerical aptitude, general English, general awareness. Each of these subjects have been given equal weight of 25 marks. The total number of marks would be 100. The duration of exam would be 90 minutes for general candidates and 120 minutes for visually handicapped, cerebral palsy candidates. Currently, SSC is conducting exams for paper 1, exams for paper 2 will be held later on.

  • SSC MTS Exam Date: 30 April, 14 and 28 May, 04 and 11 June – Now Cancelled
  • SSC MTS Re-Exam Dates: September 16, 2017 to October 26, 2017
  • SSC MTS Admit Card/Hall Ticket: Yet to be released

SSC MTS 2017 Scheme of Examination 

The written examinations consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper-II) descriptive type.

  • Paper-I consists of Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions
  • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Paper-II will be descriptive in which the candidates will be required to write short essay in English include in the 8thSchedule of the constitution. SSC is yet to make any formal announcement about the scheme of paper two.

SSC MTS 2017 Admit Card, SSC MTS 2017 Hall Ticket

The admit card for re-examination of multi-tasking (non-technical) staff examination 2017 (Paper-I) will be released soon. Some of the reports suggest that Staff Selection Commissin (SSC) may release the SSC MTS 2017 Hall Ticket, SSC MTS 2017 Admit Card in the coming week. Although, there is no official confirmation as to when SSC MTS 2017 Admit Card would be release. However, like in the past, it will be released at the official website of the SSC – ssc.nic.in days before exam.

Selection Criteria for SSC MTS 2017

According to reports, SSC will first publish the results of paper 1. Only those candidates who have qualified in paper 1 would be allowed to seat for paper 2. Then those who appears for paper 2 will have to obtain a minimum cut off marks/qualifying marks set by SSC in order to be considered for merit. The cut off marks in paper 2 might differ from paper 1. SSC will published a merit list based on the combination of performance for paper 1 paper 2.

SSC MTS 2017 Results will updated online after completion of the paper – 1. The results are likely to be announced within 45 days after completion of Paper-1. Then those who appears for paper 2 will have to obtain a minimum cut off marks/qualifying marks set by SSC in order to be considered for merit. The cut off marks in paper 2 might differ from paper 1. SSC will published a merit list based on the combination of performance for paper 1 paper 2.

In the month of February 2017, SSC completed the online registration of candidates interested to apply for SSC MTS Non-Technical (SSC MTS 2017) position in central government. These position is being offered to anybody who has passed 10th class from a recognised board.
