Around five lakh aspirants have applied for the since September 18. However, the process has slowed down in the past 5-6 days after the website failed to respond even after repeated attempts by the candidates. The candidates faced a similar issue last year and the authority had to extend the date.

The candidates have complained of either not able to fill the form or online form being filled after several attempts as the server hangs in between or shows error whenever the form is submitted. Some of the common issue faced by the candidates are: after filling the form, they are not getting OTP on their mobile or the server does not work if OTP gets filled up. Some of them complained that when the form submission button was pressed, buffering starts and they start getting the error message.

Some of the candidates said that if they made another attempt to fill the form, then they get the error that mobile number was already registered. Some of them also reported fees being deducted but not deposited to UPTET 2018.
