rrbald.gov.in: RRB Group D 2018 admit card, exam centre, date and shift details released

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the details such as exam city, date, and shift of the RRB Group D 2018 exam which is scheduled to take place from September 17 to October 16, 2018.

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) which has recently started the process of filling 62907 RRB Group D vacancies for Gateman, Pointsman, Porter, Helper among others across the country have announced the key details such as exam city, date, and shift of the RRB Group D 2018 examination at rrbald.gov.in.

The examination is scheduled to be held from September 17 to October 16, 2018. The details for the remaining candidates will be made available on September 13, 2018, onwards, said an official.

Overall, the selection procedure for RRB Group D 2018 exam consists of a computer-based test () and PET (Physical Efficiency Test). The candidates who clear the written test will only be called for the second stage, that is PET. The ones who qualify in both will be called for medical examination and document verification.

The dates of PET will be released post result declaration of written test. To make candidates familiarise with the computer-based test, a mock test link will be activated on September 10.

To check examination details such as the date and the place of the examinations, candidates will have to go to the regional railway websites, as these details will be made available there only. Railway regional offices include: RRB Ahmedabad, RRB Ajmer, RRB Allahabad, RRB Bangalore, RRB Bhopal, RRB Bhubaneshwar, RRB Bilaspur, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Chennai, RRB Gorakhpur, RRB Guwahati, RRB Jammu, RRB Kolkata, RRB Malda, RRB Mumbai, RRB Muzaffarpur, RRB Patna, RRB Ranchi, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Siliguri and RRB Trivendrum/Thiruvananthapuram.

How to check RRB Group D Exam Date and Centre details

In order get the details of your exam date and city allotted to you, you are required to log-in to any of the regional RRB websites. Once you are on the website, enter your registration number and password to access your account and check the exam date and city allotted to you. According to Indian Railways, the travel letters for the eligible reserved category candidates would be released on September 10, 2018.

RRB Group D Admit Card 2018

RRB Group D 2018 will be available for the download four days prior from the date of examination. So, the people who are appearing on September 17 can download their RRB Group D admit card on September 13.

RRB Group D 2018 Exam Pattern, Marks, Timeline

The exam will be of 90 minutes duration. A total of 100 multiple-choice type questions will be asked and one-third marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. About 25 questions each will be asked from  and General Science. General intelligence and reasoning will have 30 questions and 20 questions will be there from General awareness and current affairs sections.

  • General awareness and current affairs: 20
