CBSE Date Sheet 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10th and 12th board examinations will be held from May 4 to June 10, said an announcement.
In a virtual event on Thursday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said: “CBSE Class 10th and 12th Board Examinations will be held from 4th May 2021 to 10th June, 2021 and results of Class 10th and 12th Board Examinations will be declared by 15th July, 2021.”
The Minister also informed that Practical exams of Class 12th will start from 1st March 2021. The board is expected to release the CBSE Date Sheet 2021 soon which will be made available on its website — cbse.nic.in.
In a notification issued on Thursday, CBSE said that ongoing health pandemic has put unprecedented challenge so the date of examinations has been decided based on the feedback and consultations with diverse stakeholders including teachers, students and parents.
Giving liberty to schools, the board said that this year, schools will be allowed to conduct their practical/project/internal assessment of class 10th and 12th from March 1 up to the last date of theory examinations for the same classes.
Compared with the previous years' schedule, this year exams are delayed by three months. Last year, the exams were conducted between February and March.
Last year nearly 18 lakh students had registered to appear for the class 10 and 12 lakh for class 12th board exams. Many exams had to be postponed due to pandemic.
