Karnataka SSLC supplementary result 2017 has been declared and now all PU colleges will allow admission till July 31

supplementary 2017: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) which is a nodal agency to conduct SSLC examination in the state of Karnataka has declared the result of its Secondary Leaving Certificate (SSLC) supplementary exam 2017. Now the results are available on the official website of the board – kseeb.kar.nic.in.

In order to ensure that the students who passed the supplementary exam get admission in the Pre University colleges, a circular had also been issued which said that all PU colleges had been directed to allow admission of these students till July 31, without fine. Those students who have cleared the annual exam held in April can also get admission in the colleges till July 31 after levying the fine.

KSEEB conducts the supplementary exam in June for those who failed to clear the main exam held in March so that students can join higher courses in the same academic year from July.

This year the Karnataka board declared the SSLC or Class 10 board exam results in May. Of the 7.64 lakh students, who appeared for the exam, just 73.26% managed to pass. This was down from 79.16% in 2016, and way lower than the 81.82% recorded in 2015.

As per a report from news daily The Hindu, of the 2.42 lakh students who appeared for the supplementary examination, 1.23 lakh students have passed and the overall pass percentage is 50.81. Girls have outperformed boys by scoring a pass percentage of 55.88 while boys are at 47.9. Rural students have scored higher with a pass percentage of 54.33. The pass percentage of urban students is 47.02.
