LinkedIn has released their top 10 emerging jobs in India findings stating that are fastest growing for Indian professionals. Jobs in areas like machine learning and application development analyst are in high demand as these technology jobs are the fastest growing and are among the top 10 for professionals in India. Another key feature of the report has been on data literacy. The report considers to be key for graduates to ensure they have jobs. The report also highlights that Indian professionals make up the largest amount of data scientists in Singapore. Since 2017, 22% of data scientists that migrated to Singapore came from India.

“The way the industry is moving, it does not come as a surprise that there is a growing demand for skilled data professionals. With 45% of Indian professionals considering themselves data literate as per the recent Qlik Data Literacy Survey, we are confident that jobseekers across the country will realize the unparalleled opportunity that data literacy presents to them as they continue to equip themselves with the requisite data skills to put their careers on a high-growth trajectory,” said Arun Balasubramanian, MD, Qlik India.

Qlik is actively working towards empowering a larger percentage of the Indian workforce with marketable data skills and has partnered with more than 50 leading academic institutions across India for the Qlik Academic Program to further equip themselves the next generation of seekers with the requisite data skills,” he added.
