SBI jobs: Fake job racket busted, one held for cheating people

With the alertness of candidates and their parents, Odisha Police arrested a person for allegedly leading a racket that cheated people on the pretext of providing jobs in State Bank of India.

With the alertness of candidates and their parents, Police arrested a person for allegedly leading a racket that cheated people on the pretext of providing jobs in State of India. The accused has been identified as Jitendra Panda, a resident of Banapur in Khurda district. According to repots, Police arrested panda on the basis of complaint lodged by four girls who were interviewed by the accused in a hotel in Rourkela. Acting on a tip-off, police raided a hotel where the accused was taking interview of the girls.

The matter came to fore after one of the guardians of the victims accompanying them alerted the police about the suspicious behavior of the accused while taking the interview. However, three other accused managed to flee the spot. Several fake documents were seized from the accused. The police have launched a manhunt to nab the three others.

Every year million of Indians try to join the workforce, due to sheer shortage of jobs in the country, some of the anti-social elements exploits the needy students on the pretext of getting them job. Recently, the Delhi Police said that it had busted a racket operating in central Delhi with the arrest of its 27-year-old mastermind. The police received a complaint from M. K. Prabhat, an Under Secretary with the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, regarding the fake website. A case was registered and the alleged mastermind, Sumit Kumar, was arrested by the Parliament Street police.

Similarly, earlier Police busted a fake job racket and arrested a person for duping 21 people of Rs 1.20 crore in and Kashmir. The matter came to light after one Shanker Singh of Jammu’s Roop Nagar filed a complaint, saying he along with 21 people were conned of Rs 1.20 crore by five people who promised them government jobs.
