SSC CGL, MTS, JE exam new dates announced: Check official notification, admit card details

SSC has announced the revised dates to conduct SSC CGL 2017 (Tier-II), MTS 2016 (Paper-II) and JE 2017 (Paper-I) examinations.

The (SSC) has announced the new dates to conduct Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-II), 2017, Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (Paper-II), 2016 and Junior Engineers Examination (Paper-I), 2017. All these three including were supposed to be completed by the end of January, however SSC has postponed it further. The commission did not give any reason as to why dates have been revised.

SSC CGL 2017 (Tier-II) which was scheduled to be held from January 18 to January 20, 2018 will now be held from February 17 to February 22. This is the second time that CGL 2017 examination dates have been changed. Initially, the CGL 2017 (Tier-II) exam was to be conducted in December 2017.

On the other hand, Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination (Paper-II), 2016, whose dates have been revised many time in last one year is expected to take place on January 28, 2018. Similarly, the Junior Engineers Examination (Paper-I), 2017, which was earlier scheduled to be held from January 22 to January 25, will now be held from January 22 to January 29.There will be no examination on January 26 and 28, the notification said.

In all these examination more than 20 lakhs candidates have appeared and now all those candidates who have qualified the first round are waiting to appear in second round. For example, in SSC CGL 2017 alone, as many as 15,43,418 candidates had appeared, out of which 1,50,404 have qualified for second round.

SSC informed that admit card of the candidates for the Tier-II will be uploaded on the websites of the respective regional offices 10 days before the conduct of the Tier-II/III exams.
