AISSEE 2021: NTA to conduct Sainik Schools admission test on Jan 10

The Ministry of said that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination-2021 (AISSEE) on Jan 10, 2021 (Sunday) for admissions to Classes VI and IX in 33 Sainik Schools spread across 23 States and one Union Territory.

The process of applications which has already started on October 20, 2020, will close on November 19, 2020. Candidates are required to submit their applications after registering on the website — aissee.nta.nic.in.

The ministry said that from the academic session 2021-22, reservation in admission for OBC-NCL category has been introduced. Also, the girl candidates are now eligible for admission to Class VI in all 33 Sainik Schools.

Sainik Schools are schools affiliated to CBSE. They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other Training Academies for Officers.

Eligibility for Admission in Class VI Candidate should be between 10 and 12 years of as on 31 March 2021.

Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools.

Eligibility for Admission in Class IX Candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2021 and should have passed Class VIII from a recognised school at the time of the admission
Exam Fee Rs 400 for /ST Candidates

Rs 500 for all others
