He gave this instruction while speaking as the chief guest at a virtual function organized on the occasion of distribution of education grants for the children of the employees of the organization from the BTCL Welfare Fund.

— In the first phase, work is underway to bring all economic zones of Bangladesh under 5G connectivity, said Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar, directing the allied institutions of the Telecommunication including BTCL to play a stronger role in building the highway of technology.

He gave this instruction while speaking as the chief guest at a virtual function organized on the occasion of distribution of education grants for the children of the employees of the organization from the BTCL Welfare Fund.

Rafiqul Matin, Managing Director of BTCL, spoke about the various initiatives of the organization under the chairmanship of Md. Afzal Hossain, Secretary, Department of Posts and Telecommunications.

BTRC Chairman Shyam Sunder Sikder and Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited Chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmud along with senior officials of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications and its subordinate departments and agencies also attended the online program.

Minister for Posts and Telecommunications said that the future crisis for the is called skilled human resources.

Therefore, the objective will not be achieved if new technology cannot be integrated with conventional education. Education grants were distributed among the children of 172 employees of BTCL Central Office on the occasion.
