Dhaka: The Association of Bangladesh (ECAB) has suspended the membership of four organizations, including E-Orange, over allegations of irregularities.

The other three companies whose membership of e-Cab has been suspended are Twentyfour Ticket.com, Green E-Commerce Limited, and Excellent World Agro-Food and Consumer Ltd.

E-Cab said in a statement on Thursday. According to the same notification, e-Cab had issued notices to 16 companies to show cause in different cases in response to complaints from consumers and vendors.

The membership of the four organizations has been suspended due to non-response to the allegations or unsatisfactory responses.

Allegations against companies include embezzlement, non-disposal of complaints from buyers and suppliers, failure to respond to e-Cab’s reasoning and warning letters, failure to resolve various complaints sent by e-Cab, non-compliance with Digital Commerce Guidelines , and Conduct business.

Some of the 9 out of 16 organizations have denied the allegations against them.

Some have sought time with a commitment to grievance redressal and compliance with the Digital Commerce Management Guidelines-2021.

E-Cab says further investigations are underway to monitor 9 such companies.

If there is no satisfactory solution, the same decision can be made about those institutions.
