In our experience as iPhone users, we think that if you are going to buy a flagship smartphone such as the iPhone – no matter whether that is 15 or 16, you should most likely always aim for the Pro or Max versions. They are bigger, come with better hardware, and much better battery life and lifespan.
In fact, it makes sense to spend more on getting an earlier model and then keep it for several more years before buying the other. For example, it truly doesn’t make much sense to upgrade to the cheapest version of the new iPhone – be that 16 or something newer.
We have found the lower-entry models to be somewhat worse than the flagship – by a noticeable margin when comparing them side by side.

Whatever consideration you may have, it will come down to what you want to do.
