Cybersecurity firm RSA said that it is acquiring Fortscale, a Israel-based embedded behavioural analytics firm. Company did not disclose the terms of the deal which are subject to customary closing conditions. With this acquisition, RSA will be able to beef-up its NetWitness Platform. This will help company in offering new user and entity behavioral analytics (UEBA) capabilities to its customers.

Fortscale facilitates the automatic identification of deviations from normal user behaviors, to uncover risky and previously hard to detect threats. By understanding behavior, Fortscale can highlight potential risks such as shared user credentials, privileged user account abuse, geolocation and remote access anomalies.
