The enterprise cloud data management firm has appointed , as a managing director for India. Murthy has been working with Informatica for the last 14 years. He has already led large teams across key products. He will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, managing operations, and driving the business growth.

“Over the past 15 years, Informatica India has contributed to some of the most innovative products and services that the company offers to our customers around the world,” said Anil Chakravarthy, chief executive officer, Informatica. “Sathesh has a tremendous track record of success and has played a critical role in all of it, establishing a solid presence in the region and collaborating extremely well across multiple geographies. Sathesh has been instrumental in hiring and mentoring the next generation of leadership and he will continue to play a key role as we continue to grow our presence in the region and invest in our world-class India team.”

STMicro quarterly profit declines by 18.4% owing to slow demand

European chipmaker STMicroelectronics reported net revenues of $3.47 billion, marking an 18.4% decline compared to the same period last year. This downturn was particularly noticeable in the automotive and industrial sectors, although gains in personal electronics provided some balance.
