Venttup operates a Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) model, where it helps companies source and manufacture components through a network of verified micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rather than building all production capacity in-house.

Since its seed round in 2024, Venttup said its revenue has grown fivefold to ₹10 crore in FY2025-26. The company reported an order pipeline of approximately ₹30 crore across energy transition, mobility and smart infrastructure sectors and said it has added more than 15 blue-chip companies to its customer base over the past 12 months.

Precision manufacturing

The planned Bengaluru facility will support precision machining, turning and sheet metal production for energy transition, defence, and space applications, according to the company. The is intended to enable faster transitions from component development and validation to production readiness and mass manufacturing.

“India’s next phase of manufacturing growth requires strong engineering capabilities that can translate complex requirements into validated, production-ready components,” said Sandeep Nair, co-founder and CEO, Venttup.

“At Venttup, we are building an engineering-first manufacturing company that brings together design standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing and scalable production through India’s capable MSME ecosystem,” Nair said.

Nair added that the funding would help the company strengthen its team and expand precision manufacturing capabilities. “Our ambition is to build resilient supply chains for critical sectors while developing indigenous capabilities for domestic needs and making India a trusted source of high-value manufacturing for global markets,” he said.

Investor rationale

Abhinav Singh Negi, lead for climate and deeptech, Rainmatter by Zerodha, said the investment addressed a gap identified through conversations with existing portfolio companies.

“We consistently realised how difficult it is for hardware startups to find reliable partners who can manage the transition from validation to production,” Negi said. “At the same time, the push for indigenisation across critical sectors is unlocking a massive wave of industrial demand that simply didn’t exist before.”

Negi said Venttup’s approach of combining an in-house precision facility with a network of quality-checked local MSMEs provided value to the ecosystem.

Bhaskar Majumdar, managing partner, Unicorn India Ventures, said the firm had been invested in Venttup since the seed round. “We have seen the speed at which the company is growing. This prompted us to co-lead this round with Rainmatter,” Majumdar said.

“Precision manufacturing as a segment is going to experience explosive growth as the deep tech ecosystem matures. Whether the use case is defence or space, such companies would need a strong partner that can source precision equipment, speed up prototyping and provide a reliable supply chain,” Majumdar added.

Venttup said it is expanding across four strategic business verticals: energy transition and data centres; aerospace, defence and space systems; smart infrastructure and future mobility; and electronics, automation and smart manufacturing.

The company aims to become a long-term development and manufacturing partner for original equipment manufacturers, technology companies and emerging deeptech businesses, according to the announcement.
