- Acer TravelLite TL44-53M-G2 features Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with dedicated AI acceleration
- Notebook weighs under 1.4 kg and measures less than 18 mm thin with MIL-STD 810H certification
- Device manufactured in India and supports up to 128GB DDR5 memory with dual M.2 storage
Acer on Thursday launched the TravelLite TL44-53M-G2, a 14-inch business notebook powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and the Intel vPro platform, targeting enterprise customers in India seeking AI-capable hardware with built-in security management.
The notebook, which Acer said is manufactured in India, weighs under 1.4 kg and measures less than 18 mm in thickness. It features an aluminium body with MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability certification, according to the company.
The Intel Core Ultra Series 3 platform at the heart of the device includes a neural processing unit (NPU), a dedicated chip designed to handle artificial intelligence workloads locally on the device rather than sending them to cloud servers. The processor distributes tasks across the central processing unit, graphics unit and NPU depending on the application, the company said.
Enterprise security features
The TravelLite is built on Intel’s vPro platform, which provides hardware-level security features and remote management capabilities for IT administrators. According to Intel, the platform enables IT teams to remotely diagnose, manage and maintain devices across an organisation without requiring physical access.
“The expectations from a business PC have fundamentally changed. Enterprises today need devices that combine intelligent performance with strong security, manageability, and an experience employees genuinely want to use,” said Sudhir Goel, chief business officer, Acer India.
The notebook includes a 5-megapixel infrared camera for video calls and Windows Hello biometric authentication, which allows users to log in using facial recognition. It also features stereo speakers with DTS Audio and noise-cancelling microphones for video conferencing.
Connectivity and upgrades
For connectivity, the device offers two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt support, enabling high-speed data transfer and single-cable charging. The notebook supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 in certain configurations, the company said.
Storage and memory are upgradeable. The device supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory and includes dual M.2 storage slots with PCIe 5.0 x4 support, a standard that enables faster data transfer between the processor and storage drives.
“In developing the TravelLite TL44-53M-G2, our focus was on the practical needs of both business users and IT teams,” said GS Sondhi, senior director, product management, Acer India. “By combining AI-ready performance with a durable, lightweight design, expandable memory and storage, and reliable battery life, the new TravelLite gives enterprises a platform that can grow with their needs.”
The 14-inch display uses IPS panel technology with 300-nit brightness and a 16:10 aspect ratio. A 180-degree lay-flat hinge allows the screen to be folded completely flat for collaborative viewing.
“India is entering its next phase of workplace transformation,” said PP Sunil Acharya, senior director, global accounts, Intel India. “Acer’s new TravelLite, made in India and powered by Intel vPro, brings enterprise-grade security and manageability to fast-growing SMBs, enterprises and global capability centres. It’s built locally for India’s scale, giving more businesses the tools they need to support a secure and productive AI workforce.”
