The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences () is expected to release the 2026 provisional answer key and candidates’ response sheets shortly on its official website — natboard.edu.in — over three weeks after the postgraduate medical entrance examination was held on August 30.

The board, however, is yet to announce a confirmed release date or time, and candidates have been advised to rely only on official notifications rather than social media speculation.

Of the 2,73,096 candidates registered for NEET PG 2026, 2,65,980 appeared for the examination, which was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm across 1,111 test centres in 339 cities, covering all 36 states and union territories. A re-examination was subsequently held on September 5 for around 2,445 candidates affected by a power failure at the Sitapura centre in Jaipur.
