Key Points
- Lissun raises ₹48 crore in Series A funding led by Colossa Ventures
- Company operates 25 child development centres under Sunshine brand
- Digital products target 10 lakh children with developmental care access
Lissun, a Gurugram-based health-tech company focused on children with developmental delays and special needs, has raised ₹48 crore in a Series A funding round led by Colossa Ventures.
The round saw participation from Physis Capital and existing investors including RPSG Capital Ventures, Ivycap Ventures, Rainmatter, Multiply Ventures and SucSEED Ventures, along with new backers New Age India Fund and Beyond Capital Ventures.
The company operates through its child care brand, Sunshine by Lissun, which runs a network of child development centres across India. These centres provide therapy and developmental support for children with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and speech delays. Lissun said it also builds AI-powered tools, to support therapists and parents.
The fresh capital will be deployed towards expanding Sunshine by Lissun centres in key cities, building AI-led solutions using Lissun’s proprietary technology and data, and strengthening clinical processes across the network, the company said.
“We have always believed technology would be central to Lissun’s vision,” said Krishna Veer Singh, co-founder and CEO, Lissun. “Today, our AI tools largely support therapists and parents, but the bigger opportunity is building AI-led solutions on our own proprietary technology and data, with the potential to reach millions of children across India who lack access to quality developmental care.”
Lissun Growth
Lissun said its Sunshine brand has grown four times over the past year and now delivers more than 10,000 monthly therapy sessions through 25 centres. The company is targeting 50 physical centres by next year, while its digital products aim to reach over 10 lakh children in the coming years.
Tarun Gupta, co-founder, Sunshine by Lissun, said the goal is to build an ecosystem where technology, therapists and support systems work together for every child with special needs. “This next phase lets us scale that single specialty, AI-led model, not just to support our therapists and centres, but to build proprietary AI-led products that can reach far more children than our centres alone ever could,” he said.
India faces a significant gap in access to developmental and behavioural care for children. According to estimates cited by investors in the round, one in eight children are affected by neurodevelopmental disorders, yet access to quality and consistent care remains limited for most families.
Outlook
Vandana Rajadhyaksha, founder, Colossa Ventures, said Lissun’s model addresses this gap by adding home-based therapy and AI-enabled clinical support at centres, breaking the linear constraints of physical locations. “They can reach more children without compromising on outcomes. Colossa Ventures is excited to back this kind of a scalable and high-impact model,” she said.
RPSG Capital Ventures, which led Lissun’s pre-Series A round, doubled down on its investment in this round. Sambit Dash, partner, RPSG Capital Ventures, said the company has demonstrated exceptional execution since the initial investment, growing from four to 25 centres while strengthening its AI-driven care capabilities.
“Doubling down in this round reflects our continued conviction in Krishna Veer and Tarun’s vision and ability to redefine the child development ecosystem,” Dash said.

Vinay Bansal, general partner, Physis Capital, noted that child developmental delay in India often goes unrecognised for years, particularly as increased screen time and the pace of modern life make early warning signs easy to miss. “At Physis, we look for founders who are solving problems that truly matter, and Krishna Veer and Tarun’s passion for this mission stood out immediately,” he said.
The company said it remains focused on building India’s largest single specialty care ecosystem for children with special needs, anchored by its growing network of centres, specialist therapists and AI-led platforms designed to extend quality care beyond what physical locations can reach alone.
