CSM Technologies Limited, a Bhubaneswar-based company specialising in government technology solutions, reported consolidated total income of ₹43.25 crore for the first quarter of financial year 2027, marking a 21.2 per cent increase from ₹35.69 crore in the same period last year. The company posted a consolidated net loss of ₹8.28 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026.

The loss widened slightly from ₹7.35 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company attributed the result to the seasonally weak nature of the June quarter, when government project timelines and budget cycles typically delay revenue recognition while operating costs remain fixed.

The board of directors approved the unaudited at a meeting held on Friday (14 August) after review by the audit committee. CSM Technologies is listed on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CSM.

Standalone performance

At the standalone level, the company reported total income of ₹41.01 crore, a 27.4 per cent increase from ₹32.18 crore in Q1 FY26. The standalone net loss narrowed to ₹7.78 crore from ₹8.91 crore in the year-ago quarter, representing a 12.7 per cent improvement.

The consolidated profit after tax margin, which measures net profit as a percentage of total income, improved by 144 basis points year on year, moving from negative 20.6 per cent to negative 19.1 per cent. A basis point is one hundredth of a percentage point.

The company’s paid-up equity share capital increased during the quarter from ₹38.70 crore to ₹51.60 crore, a 33.3 per cent rise. The increase followed the company’s listing on Indian stock exchanges.

International expansion

CSM Technologies secured a World Bank-funded contract worth ₹3.21 crore in July 2026 to build an electronic auctioning platform for Malawi’s Public Private Partnership Commission. The contract marks an expansion of the company’s presence in African markets.

Priyadarshi Nanu Pany, Chairman-cum-Managing Director and CEO of CSM Technologies, said the first quarter followed the company’s established seasonal pattern. He pointed to the top-line growth as an encouraging sign despite the quarterly loss.

“Our cost base is largely fixed through the year while revenue recognition remains weighted towards the second half, driven by government project and budget cycles,” Pany said. “With a robust order book in hand, and a strengthened balance sheet following our listing, we remain confident of delivering a strong full-year FY27.”

The company said it continues to invest in proprietary technology platforms and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, cloud computing and data . CSM Technologies holds certifications including CMMI Development Maturity Level 5, a software development process standard that indicates the highest level of process maturity.
