Venkatesan Vijayaraghavan

Venkatesan Vijayaraghavan also known as Venky is an Indian technology services executive and Chief Operating Officer of Virtusa Corporation, a global digital engineering and technology services company. He is part of Virtusa’s corporate leadership team and has worked across technology services, operations, delivery management and client-facing roles.

Vijayaraghavan has nearly three decades of experience in the technology services industry, including a long tenure at Cognizant and senior leadership roles at Virtusa. His career has been closely linked to financial services, insurance and enterprise technology delivery across markets including India, North America, Europe and Asia.

At Virtusa, he has held senior responsibilities across technology service lines, operating models, delivery capabilities and talent transformation. Before becoming Chief Operating Officer, he served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Technology Service Lines.

Before joining Virtusa, Vijayaraghavan spent over 25 years at Cognizant, where he held several leadership roles. He served as Vice President from 2017 to 2022, with responsibilities that included global delivery for Cognizant’s UK and Ireland business and leadership roles linked to the company’s North America insurance business. Earlier, he was Assistant Vice President and Director, Client Partner and held project management and technical roles across India, the United States and Germany.

During his time at Cognizant, he worked across insurance, telecommunications and life sciences accounts. His responsibilities included delivery strategy, client management, business unit leadership, practice development and technology delivery.

Vijayaraghavan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where he studied from 1992 to 1996.
