Due to Delhi High Court order to continue with the mark moderation policy, there is speculation that along with CBSE, other boards like and CISCE would not be able to release results on time.

CISCE and UP Education Board has indicated that they would follow CBSE. According to report, CBSE is unlikely to challenge the HC order and it may announced the results on weekend, as agreed in April, when 31 board decided not to spike the marks.

Last year, CISCE announced ICSE Class 12 results on May 6, 2016 in which nearly 1,68,591 students had appeared. In 2016, the overall pass percentage was 98.64%. Girls have outshined the boys with their performances.
