is set to release Minecraft 1.21.9, titled “The Copper Age,” on September 30, 2025, introducing a host of new features aimed at enhancing gameplay, the company said. The update marks a major change for the popular sandbox game, making copper a more useful resource.

The update will include the , a new mob that has become a fan favourite, as well as an expanded range of copper items, including tools, armour, blocks, chains, lanterns, torches and decorative objects. Players will also be able to craft new items such as copper chests, shelves and statues, adding more options for both exploration and building.

Mojang said the update addresses several bugs reported by players, improving game stability and providing a smoother experience. The enhancements are designed to appeal to a wide range of players, from builders and explorers to combat enthusiasts.
