EMBIBE, AICTE sign MoU to enhance tribal education with AI technology

Edtech firm EMBIBE inks MoU with AICTE to bring AI-driven educational solutions to 350,000 tribal students and 40,000 teachers across 740 EMRS schools in India.

Edtech firm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body under India’s Ministry of Education. This collaboration aims to impact approximately 350,000 tribal students and 40,000 teachers across 740 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in India.

The falls under the broader context of the National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT 3.0), which seeks to utilise technology for better educational outcomes and improved employment prospects, said a statement.

Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS)

EMRS is a key initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, which aims to provide education to Scheduled Tribes. Through this MoU, students from 6th to 12th grades in EMRS will have access to EMBIBE‘s AI-driven educational solutions and personalized learning platforms. The intent is to enhance educational outcomes and adequately prepare these students for a dynamically changing market, said the company.

Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, stated that the collaboration will actively serve the goals of the NEAT program by utilising technology to improve the quality of education and expand job opportunities. The partnership is set to offer specialised educational resources and continuous support for both teachers and students, aiming to create a more effective learning environment.

To equips tribal students with essential skills

“With a strong focus on enhancing education through technology and improving employability prospects for our youth, this partnership holds immense promise,” Dr. Chandrasekhar said adding that “this initiative not only aims to uplift learning outcomes but also equips students with essential skills, tailored to meet the evolving demands of the job market.”

EMBIBE’s founder & CEO Aditi Avasthi, said that the company is the first in the sector to establish such a partnership with AICTE, aimed at improving learning outcomes in schools. She affirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the educational growth and empowerment of all participants in this initiative.
