This initiative is expected to increase the technology quotient of the country in AI, and create new opportunities for both industry and academia. The centers of excellence will provide a platform for researchers and industry experts to work together on cutting-edge projects, and to push the boundaries of what is possible in AI.

The establishment of these centers of excellence is also expected to have a positive impact on the economy of the country. With the increasing demand for AI in various industries, it is likely that the centers of excellence will produce a large number of skilled professionals who will be in high demand. This, in turn, will create new job opportunities, stimulate innovation, and drive economic growth.

“As an industry participant, we believe that this will lead to path breaking research in Artificial Intelligence. Industry will be able to work on new technologies together with the upcoming talent from institutions and boost the technology quotient of the country in AI,” said Bardeja.
