Dhaka — The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)’s cyber monitoring team is active in preventing false, misinformation and propaganda through the use of the virtual world. This information was given by Commander Khandaker Al Moin as the Director of Law and Media Branch of RAB at a press conference held at RAB Media Center at Karwan Bazar in the capital.
He said the team has been able to identify a class of unscrupulous individuals or gangs in the search. “These people are involved in various illegal criminal activities by using digital platforms to present themselves as celebrities through purposeful propaganda.”
Through far-reaching plans, criminals are abusing various means, including social media, to implement their own agendas, he noted.
