Bangladesh: Python rescued upon 999 call

: ‘Madhabadi Thana Police and Madhabadi Forest Department of Narsingdi have regained a in a caller’s call to National Emergency Service 999.

On Monday (July 26) at 3:30 pm, a caller named Rakib from Meherpara in Patharpara Union under Madhabadi Police Station in Narsingdi called 999 and said that while fishing in the bill, a python 10/12 cubits long was caught in the fishermen’s net.

The fishermen could not get the snake out of the net and brought ashore.

Residents of the area are terrified that they could beat the snake to death at any time. The caller requested 999 to take action to rescue the snake.

999 immediately informed the Madhabadi police and the forest department and requested them to take action.

Upon receiving the news, a team of Madhabdi police and forest department personnel went to the spot.

Later, Madhabadi Police Station SI Abu Siddique and 999 Call informed by phone that the forest department personnel rescued the python snake safely and after initial care, the snake will be released in the forest.
